500 signatures – help in the fight against bad “garbage stuffiness”

“Against garbage stuffiness in St. Pölten”: An online petition because of the St. Pölten landfill already has over 500 supporters. For a long time there has been resistance to the foul stench, especially among those living near the iceberg.

Bad smells in the state capital have been causing a stir for a long time, especially among those living near the iceberg. As reported, the cause is said to be the “Am Ziegelofen” landfill. At the end of January, the operator, the Zöchling company, and the city of St. Pölten contractually agreed to build a hall including exhaust air purification. “We have thus presented the legal basis for reducing odor nuisance,” emphasizes Mayor Matthias Stadler regular approval procedures, on the other hand through the online petition “Against garbage stuffiness in St. Pölten”. So far there have been 518 signatories. “We will take our concerns to the state government,” said chairman Wilhelm Maurer. The association for the support of citizens’ initiatives wants to help with legal and expert costs.
