6.2 magnitude earthquake hits eastern Japan

TOKYO, May 26 (Reuters) – A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Japan on Friday, Japanese public broadcaster NHK reported.

The tremor was felt in Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures of Chiba, Saitama and Ibaraki, according to Japanese media.
