Unpleasant and supposedly embarrassing illnesses can keep us from going to the doctor – but they shouldn't! You should know about these complaints and have them treated.

Going to the doctor because of colds, headaches and the like probably causes very few problems. But what if the complaints affect very intimate parts of the body such as the genitals or constant flatulence in public makes us blush with shame? A fungicidal agent takes care of the athlete's foot, but this can take several weeks. Until then, good hygiene is important: Wear cotton socks and wash them at 60 degrees.

3. Vaginal fungus

Probably even more uncomfortable for many women than athlete's foot: With vaginal fungus it itches and burns in the vagina and on the pubic, in general the genital area is often swollen and reddish in color. Some women have whitish, crumbly discharge. The triggering fungi can be treated with vaginal suppositories and special ointments.
