Nothing erases you by Michel Bussi

Ten years earlier, Maddi Libéri lost his son Esteban. Then, one day, on a beach in Saint Jean de Luz, the young doctor crosses paths with another mother with her little boy of around ten who looks strangely like her missing child. Troubled, Maddi has only one obsession: to know everything about this child, named Tom. She gives up all her life to follow him in her village in Auvergne because she is sure of one thing: Tom is in danger and she must protect him.

A disturbing and unsettling story. Michel Bussi indeed plays with us, readers, by launching us on many false tracks. Is her heroine sane or Machiavellian? We indeed wonder about his behavior with Tom, who awakens many wounds in this mother who can not mourn. With the touch of witchcraft and legends added to the plot, one wonders what is real and what is not in this story. And then the final twist arrives and everything finally lights up, with its share of unexpected revelations. A captivating novel which holds in suspense until the end.

Towards the sun by Julien Sandrel

August 2018. Tess leaves to join her daughter Sienna and her "uncle" Sacha towards Tuscany. Along the way, she makes a stop in Genoa to see her friend Francesca and her son Livio when a low growl shakes the apartment before everything around her collapses. The bridge of Genoa has indeed just collapsed. When Sacha hears the news, his life is shattered because his relationship with Sienna and Tess is a big lie: he is not the girl's uncle but an actor hired years earlier to play this role. And, while Tess' fate remains uncertain, Ash is faced with a crucial choice: should he listen to his heart and potentially run away with Sienna to protect her or leave her?

Julien Sandrel's pretty pen hits the mark again with this new novel. We are under the spell of the adorable Sienna and her "uncle" Sacha. A relationship that started off with a lie but ended up turning into a very real story, a powerful father-daughter relationship that Ash is desperate for, especially when he learns some truths about Tess' past life. A story full of emotion about fatherhood and the family.

Three wishes by Liane Moriarty

Lyn, the woderwoman who juggles family life and career, Cat, the romantic bride-to-be, and Gemma, who struggles to settle down, are three sisters … and even triplets. Always united, the three Kettle girls have always been able to count on each other to overcome the trials of life. But the anniversary celebration of their thirty-fourth anniversary will turn everything upside down, upsetting the balance established for years and resurfacing some unspoken.

Lianne Moriarty gives us here a story of bittersweet sorority. It all started with a rather violent argument (with a fork stuck in a pregnant belly!) At the restaurant between Cat, Lyn and Gemma, three sisters with very different life paths who, that evening, take stock of their lives. . But how did they get there? Go back a few months rather early to understand all that and especially scratch under the varnish of their small lives (more or less) rows. Between emotion, laughter, tender or more frank moments, we let ourselves be carried away by this story.

In the shadow of the wolf by Oliver Merle

Commander Hubert Grimm is not thrilled with his new business: his boss wants him to help a notable in the region, Mr. Kerdegat, to find who is sending him anonymous threatening letters. Nothing too exciting until the policeman and his team, made up of Captains Corentin Jarry and Eric Blanchart and Ermeline, and realize that the businessman is being followed. Who is this mysterious individual on a scooter? But suddenly everything accelerates and the case takes a more dramatic turn when Kerdegat's dismembered body is found at his home. Commander Grimm will then discover that this story is far from being as clear as he imagined …

A slightly rebellious cop who finds himself grappling with a rather sordid affair: the plot has something to thrill the reader. It must be said that the author does not fail to confront us with many twists and turns over the chapters to maintain the tension until the end. It was indeed difficult at the outset to link a murder case in Abidjan with a history of threats in Rennes. Then, the threads are unraveled little by little, the rhythm accelerates and the wolf reveals himself, in all his madness.

Isabeau (Wish T3) by Audrey Carlan

Isabeau grew up in the love of her two dads, convinced that she was the result of an anonymous egg donation. But, as she turns 25 with her best friend and family, she discovers that she has two sisters and that her deceased mother has left her letters. Upset but determined to understand who she is, Isabeau packs her suitcase and takes her best friend across the United States to discover herself.

A story of self-quest, love (family but not only …), dreams, the future … This third volume (which can be read even without having read the previous ones) is read quickly. We laugh at the jokes of Jasper, Isabeau's best gay and crazy friend, a young woman full of life and optimism, despite the trials that life imposes on her. And the least we can say is that she has to face many over the chapters, some more dangerous than others. Fortunately, the happy ending is at the end of the road.

Its prettiest flaw by Fanny André

Cléa Matisse is a young solo mother who lives to the rhythm of her little Merrylou, 6 months old. In her rare lost moments, the young woman is also an author whose first novel had a certain success. So much so that his publisher offers to adapt it into a film and forces him to collaborate with one of his favorite authors, Nate Keenan, to put it in place. But the first meeting is far from cordial. But no question for Cléa to let herself be walked on and abandon her baby to a bad guy who doesn't understand her style.

A pretty novel full of sweetness that feels good. We love this wonder mom who does not let the talkative talk about it, is not afraid to assert herself to defend her life and her choices. Fortunately, the circumstances will give a second chance to his story with Nate Keenan and each will then be able to discover the other, with his faults, his secrets. We also fell in love with Cléa's neighbor and BFF, Yoshi, a crazy mother of four children who brings her touch of madness to Cléa's quiet life.
