Such an event only happens once in the life of a Swiss woman, explained Viola Amherd to the Keystone-SDA news agency. Along with dozens of New York personalities, she pasted her portrait in Times Square.

The event was held to mark 75 years of UN peacekeeping. Switzerland has been involved in peacebuilding for a long time. According to Amherd, the commitment has to be constantly adapted to the conditions of the conflict.
