A new processor Ryzen 7000 was released over the weekend, but AMD doesn’t seem to be in a rush to release it in Europe.
A launch on Sunday? This is not usual, but this is what seems to have been the case at AMD with a newcomer to the Ryzen 7000 range.
A processor reserved for Asia?
Several sites have thus published – yesterday therefore – the first tests of a processor called Ryzen 5 7500F. A model that had already been rumored, but that AMD had still not confirmed.
The embargo was therefore set for July 23, an unusual window for a release that seems to be just as much. Indeed, all the articles thus published have in common their geographical context: they all come from Asia and everything suggests that the said processor only concerns this part of the world for the moment.
Still, for several media who have tested this Ryzen 5 7500F, a worldwide release is beyond doubt: we are obviously waiting for AMD to tell us more about it.
Ideal pair with the A620 chipset
For the time being, the new AMD chip is an Asian exclusive and, logically, most reviews compare it to other – very similar – models in the AMD range.
The Ryzen 5 7500F is a processor with six cores capable of reaching a boost frequency of 5 gigahertz (GHz) for a TDP of 65 watts. The presence of the letter F is, as always, synonymous with the absence of an integrated graphics solution and this is mainly what distinguishes it from the Ryzen 5 7600/7600X. The rise in temperature is also quite close.
In terms of performance, the Ryzen 5 7500F seems a good step above its Intel counterparts, the Core i5-13500 and Core i5-13400. Its price of 179 dollars could also make it a good solution without breaking the bank, especially since it is compatible with the recent and inexpensive A620 motherboards.
