Eat the whole evening without gaining weight? Sounds too good to be true. We’ll show you eight healthy, low-fat foods that you can eat as much as you want.

The nutritionist Dr. Pierre Dukan, founder of the so-called Dukan diet, knows: There are many foods to eat. However, this requires that you do not combine these foods with carbohydrate suppliers. It is important that you eat as little fat and carbohydrates as possible, but proteins and vitamins. 

You can snack the following eight foods throughout the evening without feeling guilty. On the contrary – they help you lose weight.

1. Cauliflower

Fresh cauliflower is one of the best suppliers of vitamin C in the world and can be prepared in a variety of ways: steam, cook, puree, roast or, as shown in the picture below, bake. But beware: Due to the high potassium content, this vegetable is particularly diuretic.

2. broccoli

Broccoli has low calories and is also rich in vitamin C. To put it concretely, only 25 grams are consumed per 100 grams. Allegedly, the green vegetables also prevent cancer. Broccoli is simply thrown into the boiling water or sautéed for a few minutes.

3. carrots

Carrots are generally well tolerated and contain high levels of beta-carotene. A plant dye, which is also said to be cancer-preventing, strengthens the eyesight and stimulates the metabolism. Carrots are great as a side dish to lean meat or fish. Or in grated form in a salad.

4. fennel

Fennel has a headstrong taste. However, once you have discovered this for yourself, you benefit from the advantages of the plant. Because fennel is healthy and low in calories and should also have medicinal properties. For example, fennel tea helps with indigestion and has an antispasmodic effect. You can also make fennel of your choice: cook, roast, stew …

5. Grapefruit

Who wants to lose weight, should rely on the power of grapefruit. The citrus with the tender-bitter taste comes out with a light 45 calories per 100 grams. In addition, it provides effective substances such as pectin and vitamin C, which stimulate the metabolism. Although theoretically you could eat grapefruit all day, the fiber pectin will stop you. It promotes digestion and swells in the gastrointestinal tract. 

Attention: Those who take medicines, should better do without grapefruit – whether in juice form or as a whole fruit. The fruit can increase the effect of medication, even the negative side effects. The reason for this are the furanocoumarins contained in the grapefruit, which block substances in the intestine, which are important for the breakdown of many drugs.

6. Spinach

Spinach also has hardly any calories, but a lot of folic acid. Leaf spinach tastes best with steamed fish or egg, but also raw as a salad. Not meant is the creamed spinach from the freezer!

7. Tomatoes

Tomatoes have only 17 calories per 100 grams and are therefore extremely low in calories. In addition, they contain a number of valuable biological substances, such as vitamins B, K and lycopene. Whether raw, cooked or grilled: tomatoes can be prepared in a number of variations.

8. Rhubarb

Also from rhubarb you can eat as much as you want. The vegetables are traditionally eaten as a compote or in baked form. It contains plenty of vitamin C and magnesium – giving you energy and resilience.
