9-1-1: Jennifer Love Hewitt (Maddie) back in the trailer for the sequel to season 5

After a long break, the sequel to season 5 of “911” will be broadcast in the United States from March 21. The Fox channel unveiled a trailer for the next episodes which teases the return of Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Eddie’s new job.

On hiatus since December 6 in the United States, season 5 of 9-1-1, still unpublished in France, will resume on March 21 on the American channel Fox. And if we are to believe the trailer for the next episodes, visible in the player above, the fans will finally have the pleasure of finding a character about whom we had no further news.

Absent from episodes 4 to 10 of season 5, due to maternity leave, Jennifer Love Hewitt will indeed finally make her comeback in the series since Maddie appears briefly in these new images of 9-1-1. Information not surprising given that the actress herself had recently announced on social networks that she would resume her role from March 21.

It remains to be seen how Maddie, and Chimney (Kenneth Choi), who went looking for her shortly after her departure, will be reintegrated into the plot. As a reminder, Maddie had left Los Angeles overnight without leaving an address. Simply revealing to her companion through a video message that she felt unable to properly care for their baby.

In parallel, the rest of season 5 of 9-1-1 will visibly confront the firefighters of 118 with new interventions that are ever more dangerous and surprising (invasion of spiders as a result) and will reveal the new work of Eddie (Ryan Guzman ), who had announced to his colleagues in the last episode that he was leaving the barracks.

The next episodes will also be an opportunity to discover a new face since Arielle Kebbel, seen in particular in Vampire Diaries, Lincoln: in pursuit of the Bone Collector, and After: Chapter 3, joins the series in the role of Lucy Donato, a female firefighter from the rival barracks 147 described as daredevil and very sure of herself. And presented as the female equivalent of Buck (Oliver Stark). That promises!

In France, season 5 of 9-1-1 should arrive this fall on M6, which has just broadcast season 2 of the spin-off 9-1-1 Lone Star.
