January is such a thing … it's kind of like the Monday morning of the year. The beautiful Christmas season is over, and spring is still a long way off. Pretty stupid. But these 9 To Dos will give January a springtime glow!

1. Create a vision board

Thoughts are matter, so come on with the nice thoughts about your 2020. The best thing to do is cut out nice sentences, pictures and places from magazines and stick them on a piece of paper. That takes a couple of hours of (nice) work and then you can sit back. Because according to the law of attraction your subconscious will now begin to bring you to exactly these places, to these goals in life and to these thoughts that you have chosen for your year. Nice theory, right?

2. Create an annual playlist on Spotify, amazon prime music or wherever

Is it actually similar to a vision board, just made of music? What should your year bring you How do you wanna feel This list keeps reminding you …

3. Catch the first rays of sun of the year with your face

High time to put the deck chair back on the balcony. You can also sunbathe in a thick winter jacket. The main thing is that your face tingles in the warm rays of the sun. It is wonderful to dream of the Caribbean or Hawaii. Speaking of …

4. Plan some vacation

And if it's your trip in summer 2024, it doesn't matter. There is no time limit for anticipation.

5. Buy Christmas decorations at a ridiculous price

Yes, decorating it hurts a little. What has to be, has to be. It's easier if you clear the last remaining ramps at a ridiculous price so that you can definitely defend your title as Christmas decoration queen next year! And how you will be happy in November when you unpack all the brand new stuff … Where we're at Christmas right now:

6. Eat fondue or raclette again before it no longer tastes good

Even if it sounds a bit silly, fondue and raclette need darkness in front of the windows so that it tastes really, really good. So bring on the neighbors and the frozen cheese leftovers! Spring is coming soon and then the greasy winter pleasure is over!

7. Enjoy an absolutely free weekend

Because you really need it again after the stress of appointments in December. Appointments are strictly prohibited. There is only one plan: you, the sofa and lots of good food without December compromises (because the mother-in-law doesn't like this and the uncle doesn't). Oh yes, that brings us straight to point 8 …

8. Dispose of the mulled wine leftovers. But please not in the sink!

Because that's stupid for the environment, the fish and the ecosystem. Filter the booze once in your kidneys and liver. This is way better!

9. Cook strawberry jam

No, not from the light pink, tasteless ones from Timbugdu, but from frozen fruits. That makes the anticipation for summer much greater and it is not much work either, because the fruit is already perfectly prepared. The jam tastes best when you make it from organic cane sugar. Tastes much more intense.
