- Around 30,000 football fans from Bern and Ticino are out and about in Bern.
- The fans of the Bernese Young Boys took over the city center in the morning.
- The mood is peaceful, there is clapping and singing.
Hundreds of Bernese supporters got in the mood on Bärenplatz in the city center and chanted battle cries.
Then the fan march of up to 10,000 YB fans continued through the city center – and then over the Kornhausbrücke in the direction of the Wankdorf stadium.
In the afternoon they all hope to get the double for the third time in the club’s 125-year history.
At times it was not possible to see that the Kornhausbrücke was full of fans because of the dense clouds of yellow and black smoke.
FC Lugano fans will not be going on a fan walk this year. Six extra trains from Ticino stop directly at the Bern-Wankdorf station. In the previous year, the Ticino had taken a march from Ostermundigen to the stadium under their feet.
Lugano won the cup last year. The Young Boys go into the last big game of the season as reigning champions.
The game begins at 2 p.m. in the Wankdorf Stadium, which is completely sold out with 31,500 spectators. You can follow the game on SRF2 or in the live stream.
