A big month before its broadcast, the new season of the detective series True Detective revealed a final trailer, more frightening and chilling than ever. The series will be broadcast in France from January 15, 2024 on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform, via the Warner Pass.
Jodie Foster in the heart of Alaska
Forget the comfortable regions of Louisiana, California and Arkansas of the first seasons: this fourth chapter of True Detective takes us to the frigid state of Alaska. An investigation in the middle of winter that will give detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) a hard time.

On the program for this new season, made up of six episodes: an inhospitable region, a duo of mismatched cops, a strange series of murders… and all this surrounded by the myths, legends and secrets of Alaska. Did you say creepy?
Always produced by the creator of True Detective Nic Pizzolato, this season 4 of the HBO detective series is written and directed by the little-known Issa López (Todo Mal, Britannia).
In addition to the promising duo Jodie Foster / Reis, the cast also includes Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who), John Hawkes (3 Billboards) and Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter). A nice cocktail that places True Detective in our big series expectations for 2024.
In addition to the trailer, a new poster has been revealed:
