In the ZDF “Politbarometer” published on Friday, 59 percent were in favor of the Ampel coalition, only 24 percent against a Jamaica alliance of CDU / CSU, Greens and FDP. A continuation of the grand coalition, this time under the leadership of the SPD, therefore only 22 percent want it.
Even Union supporters want Scholz
According to the poll by the Wahlen research group, 76 percent want SPD top candidate Olaf Scholz to be the next Federal Chancellor. His competitor, CDU leader Armin Laschet, on the other hand, would only support 13 percent as chancellor. Even of the Union supporters, 49 percent were in favor of Scholz and only 39 percent in favor of Laschet.
Conversely, 63 percent of those questioned support Laschet’s resignation from the CDU party leadership. According to the survey, this is also what 62 percent of Union supporters want. Of them, 65 percent also blame Laschet for the CDU / CSU’s election defeat.
If another federal election were to take place next Sunday, the SPD could improve further to 28 percent (election result: 25.7 percent), according to the “Politbarometer”. The CDU / CSU would only achieve 20 percent (24.1 percent), the Greens would do better with 16 percent than in the federal election (14.8 percent), as did the FDP with 13 percent (11.5 percent). For the AfD (ten percent) and the left (five percent), it would be the same as their election result last Sunday.
Angela Merkel remains the most important politician
In the ranking of the ten most important politicians, the outgoing Chancellor Angela Merkel continues to be ahead with an approval rating of 2.3 (previously 2.2). Scholz now follows in second place, who can improve significantly to 2.2 (1.6). Green boss Robert Habeck can also increase with 1.6 (1.2). This is followed by CSU boss Markus Söder with 1.1 (1.2), FDP boss Christian Lindner with 1.0 (0.4) and Green boss Annalena Baerbock with 0.4 (0.1). Laschet brings up the rear with minus 1.2 (minus 0.4).
For the survey, the Elections Research Group interviewed 1249 representatively selected voters from Tuesday to Thursday. The error rate was given as two to three percentage points.
