Next week, the first Copilot+ PCs will be on the shelves with brands like Acer, Asus, Lenovo, Samsung and obviously Microsoft with its Surface. Medion also wants to join the party with a laptop PC equipped with a Snapdragon X Elite, the Sprchargd 14 S1 Elite. A name to be forgotten, which should not help it break through to the general public…
14-inch, Snapdragon
Beyond its unpronounceable name, the Sprchrgd 14 S1 Elite has an attractive technical sheet. Featuring the Copilot+ PC stamp, it is logically powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor in its slowest configuration (X1E-78-100). It still offers 12 Oryon cores clocked at 3.4 GHz and is accompanied by a minimum of 16 GB of RAM. On the storage side, Medion offers 512 GB or 1 TB of SSD depending on the model.
The screen has interesting characteristics with a 14-inch panel displaying 2880 x 1800 at 120 Hz, probably equipped with IPS technology, since Oled is not mentioned.
The connection includes two USB-A ports, an HDMI port and a USB-C port. The supported standards are not specified by the manufacturer.
Benefiting from a latest generation Qualcomm platform, the Medion therefore benefits from wifi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, allowing you to take full advantage of the latest wireless advances.
Wifi 7 and 18 hours of autonomy
The chassis is relatively compact, with a 14-inch panel. It is, however, a little thick, at 16.8mm high and weighing 1.4kg; not enough to compete with the market leaders on this point. The battery has a capacity of 65 Wh, and thanks to the sobriety that we attribute to the Snapdragon X Elite – we are waiting to carry out the tests to confirm it – Medion announces an autonomy of 18 hours.
