The permanence of Jean-Pierre Cubertafon was tagged with the message “Eat foie gras!”. The deputy had given his support to this sector a few days earlier.
This Monday, December 27, the member of Périgord Vert, discovered “with dismay” that his office in Lanouaille had been tagged. The message, sprayed with white paint, was written overnight from Sunday to Monday.
It is with dismay that I discovered 48 hours after New Years Eve my tagged permanence. I am proud to have defended foie gras and its artisans. I regret nothing. I decided to file a complaint. Let us defend the democratic debate together and do not give in to intimidation. https://t.co/cD4ICQSmcQ

This act of vandalism was discovered in the morning, by a neighbor who went to her place of work. The member for Dordogne has already stated that he will file a complaint today. He attributes this degradation to “opponents of foie gras”.
Jean-Pierre Cubertafon targeted for his positions
For the deputy, the tag is not very explicit, but “If it had been a message of support, they would have left a bowl for me in front of my door, they would not have forced me to hire someone to clean it. “He told AFP.
For Jean-Pierre Cubertafon, the message clearly refers to his position taken a few days earlier in favor of artisanal production of foie gras.
In mid-December, when many town halls wanted to remove foie gras from official reception menus, Jean-Pierre Cubertafon had co-signed a support platform “for this gastronomic sector of excellence.”
Shortly after, he received death threats mentioning his “beheading”.
