A novel disease is said to have broken out in New Brunswick, Canada. It causes insomnia, hallucinations, and even death in previously healthy people.
The symptoms of a previously unknown disease appear in Canada “out of nowhere”.
Nine people have already died, according to “The Guardian”.
The number of unreported cases could be much higher, as the daily newspaper writes.
Whistleblowers suspect a connection with environmental influences.
A mysterious disease is said to have emerged in a Canadian province. According to “The Guardian”, more and more people are affected – and it’s not Corona. Young patients also suffer from inexplicable hallucinations, muscle wasting and dementia. Some patients report severe weight loss, pain in their limbs, as well as impaired vision and sleep. According to a whistleblower, the nervous disease is said to have broken out in New Brunswick. The province has 750,000 inhabitants. The complaints would arise “out of nowhere”. Nine people have already died, according to “The Guardian”. The number of unreported cases could be much higher as the daily newspaper continues to write. “Up to 150 people could possibly be affected, it says there.
Many patients are young
Many patients are young and until recently were considered perfectly healthy. The attending physicians informed the health authorities about the conspicuous clusters of illnesses. The first cases are said to have occurred in New Brunswick as early as 2013. At the time, those affected suffered from symptoms similar to those that occur with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, which became known in the early 1990s from beef contaminated with BSE. Accordingly, connections between diet and environmental factors are currently being researched, says neurologist Neil Cashman on the Canadian news channel “Global News”. He is involved in the official investigation.
30-year-old could no longer speak
The disease appears to be highly contagious: a man recently suffered from sudden onset of dementia. His wife took care of him and suddenly developed memory lapses – as well as hallucinations and muscle wasting. In the meantime, her condition has worsened much more than that of her husband, it is said.
In addition, the Guardian describes a patient in her mid-30s who suddenly could no longer speak. Her nurse, who was ten years her junior, also suddenly showed neurological symptoms. The number of illnesses continues to rise, according to an anonymous source from the local health department Vitalite. In the population, more and more environmental factors are suspected to be triggers for the disease. Whistleblowers also criticize the government for downplaying the disease. Cancer and dementia as the official autopsy results of the deceased are questioned. A new government report is due out this January.
