Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess was keen to test (and approve) Audi’s new charging lounge concept.
A one-of-a-kind charging station, with a unique “lounge” feel.
The Audi charging lounge validated (necessarily) by its CEO
Last December, Audi announced a brand new, one-of-a-kind charging station. A pilot project that accommodates a total of six fast charging points, also featuring a connected lounge area to offer what the builder describes as “ a premium charging experience “.
And for good reason, in this living room of approximately 200 m², there is a patio of 40 m² which offers the possibility for customers to work and/or relax while waiting for the end of the recharge of their car, observable on a screen. 98″ diagonal.
Recently, the CEO of the Volkswagen Group, Herbert Diess, visited this new charging station in person, currently only available in Nuremberg.
Customers can charge electric cars with an output of up to 320 kW at six charging points. In total, about 80 vehicles per day can be recharged, without reaching the limits of the capacity of the energy storage system combined with the 200 kW of power from the hub.
” Book the charging station in the app, come in, plug your car into the fast charger, go to the lounge, enjoy a coffee and a good chat. I am absolutely delighted with the new Audi charging station in Nuremberg. A concept that sets new standards! », explains Herbert Diess.
