VS’is an unknown episode in the history of Lagardère. In 1981, Jean-Luc Lagardère had to deal with the victory of the Socialists and François Mitterrand and avoid nationalization of the group he led: Matra. While he was negotiating in Matignon with Prime Minister Pierre Mauroy and his cabinet, he learned of the terrible road accident suffered by his son, Arnaud Lagardère, then 20 years old. The leader goes in fourth gear at the bedside of his son, who will remain several weeks in a coma. Second exclusive excerpt from Rise and fall of the Lagardère house (Seuil), to be published on February 4, a book written by Olivier Ubertalli, also a journalist at Point.
