Requested for a long time by the fans, the return of Futurama will soon be a reality. But this time, Hulu will take care of the new episodes.
And a good part of the original voice cast will be there.
A new home for Futurama
Even if the tendency is more than ever to revivals, remakes and others reboots, here’s one we didn’t necessarily see coming. Indeed, Futuramathe series by Matt Groening (The Simpsons) and David X. Cohen, will be back in 2023 with 20 new episodes.
After starting on Fox for 4 seasons and several films in 1999, then migrating to Comedy Central for 2 more seasons until 2013, the animated series will return to Hulu this time.
Much of the original voice cast, starting with Billy West (Fry) and Katey Sagal (Leela) will be there, while John DiMaggio (Bender) is still in negotiations. The voices of various characters, namely those of Tress MacNeille, Maurice LaMarche, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr and David Herman, will also be present.
In the meantime, the entire series is available from us on Disney +, and there is no doubt that this new season should also arrive there eventually.
