An unconscious taxi driver († 53) lying on the ground next to a taxi was found early Friday morning in Davos-Platz. Despite resuscitation, the man died on the spot.
Now the Graubünden cantonal police have arrested two men in Davos. Whether the arrests are related to the death on Friday morning is currently being clarified.
Pre-trial detention requested for both men
The men are a Swiss (54) and an Italian (26). They had an argument with the deceased taxi driver on Talstrasse in Davos Platz early on Friday morning. The driver was then found motionless next to his car.
“Whether the death is related to the dispute is the subject of the ongoing criminal investigation,” writes the Graubünden cantonal police in a press release.
The public prosecutor’s office in Graubünden has requested custody for the argument against the two men. It is the presumption of innocence. (ct)
