Absent from the air since December 17, 2021, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau wanted to address her fans. Two months after revealing to suffer from ophthalmological problems, the journalist wrote in the caption of a video shared on social networks: “Your messages are so numerous… THANK YOU for your support which means a lot to me. Look forward to meeting you.Facing the camera, the star said:Good morning ! I haven’t heard from you for a month. Your messages, your e-mails, your e-mails, are so numerous that I address you today to answer you and especially to thank you for all your marks of attention and support which touch me enormously.“
In all transparency, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau said: “So yes, I wear sunglasses, it’s to protect my eye which is still fragile. I do not want to dwell on my case, but to answer all those who question me and that you understand my absence which lasts. Know that I suffer from an eye infection, a rare and severe infection, which requires long treatment. So I’m doing everything to come back as soon as possible and in the meantime, I thank TF1 for its understanding and for all the reorganization that this implies on 1 p.m.“To conclude her message, the journalist had a quick note for her colleagues.”I would like to thank Jacques (Legros, editor’s note) who arrived for two weeks at the end of December and who has since been doing so much with the 1 p.m. team, and I thank Julien (Arnaud, editor’s note), who took over perfectly this week! I can’t wait to see you again and I’ll see you soon!“, she added.
Jacques Legros: “Marie-Sophie cannot come back if she is not completely cured”
Asked by the ParisianTF1 said this Saturday, February 26, 2022: “Marie-Sophie Lacarrau suffers from an eye infection, which requires long treatment. We are advancing step by step. Marie-Sophie’s health remains our priority.“For his part, Jacques Legros, who replaces the journalist at the presentation of the 1 p.m. news, confided: “All because of his lenses. I also told him that the glasses suited him very well. With the light we get on set, Marie-Sophie can’t come back if she’s not completely cured. It may take six months.“
