Thanks to many very well-regarded ergonomic improvements, this new version of the Audio Technica ATH-M50xBT is proving to be a real pleasure to use on a daily basis. In the end, it doesn’t lack much to be close to the best nomadic helmets on the market: a slightly more detailed reproduction and, to a lesser extent, a more careful design and a little more insulation would undoubtedly have opened the door to it. gate of the ultimate star. Don’t get me wrong though: this ATH-M50xBT2 is still an excellent choice for anyone who wants to buy portable Bluetooth headphones without active noise reduction.
Strong points
- Simple and intuitive use, very comprehensive controls.
- Audio Technica Connect application rich in features and setting options.
- Multipoint connection, “Low Latency” mode.
- Monstrous autonomy (at least 50 hours of use per charge!).
- Sturdy, foldable construction.
Weak points
- Barely average sound insulation.
- Design still not very discreet (and sometimes a little “rough” finishes).
- No remote control/microphone on the mini-jack cable.

The Backbeat Go 810 is a good choice if you’re looking for a wireless listening companion with active noise reduction under the $150 mark…especially if you plan to use it primarily that way. Indeed, the sound reproduction is really interesting only in this use. Apart from that, it remains a complete and pleasant model to use. If you are unsure, take a look at the equally interesting HD 4.50 BTNC, or simply the Backbeat Pro 2 since it is now close in terms of price.
