This Wednesday in TPMP, Benjamin Castaldi was teased about the fact that he did not intervene much in the show. A detail that does not prevent Cyril Hanouna from bringing him regularly to the set.
In Touche pas à mon poste, there are more talkative columnists than others. C8 viewers are well placed to know that Gilles Verdez, Matthieu Delormeau and Géraldine Maillet regularly punctuate the show with their interventions. Others, on the other hand, are more discreet during the debates. This is particularly the case of Benjamin Castaldi, who expresses his opinion less than his colleagues. A personality trait that does not seem to bother Cyril Hanouna. The one nicknamed Baba explained this Wednesday why he regularly invited Benjamin Castaldi to come on the show despite his discretion. “He’s the only guy who participates in the show as much as the public“, began by joking Cyril Hanouna. “You’re right, yesterday I came home, I was like, ‘what a shitty show you did’“, replied the columnist.
But the host of the show wanted to defend his collaborator. “Do you know what I said to my teams? Benjamin Castaldi, even when he says nothing, it’s important! Do you know why? Because facially, he’s interesting”, released Cyril Hanouna before adding: “Benjamin Castaldi, you have to have him with you. It’s like on vacation, there’s always going to be a guy you’re going to spoof. If you don’t have Castaldi, you’re pissed off. Castaldi, he says everything he sees, as he doesn’t have too much repartee. He comments!” Faced with Benjamin Castaldi’s annoyed look, Cyril Hanouna nevertheless clarified: “But it doesn’t matter, I said you were essential!”
Benjamin Castaldi: when Cyril Hanouna makes fun of his passivity
A little later in the show, the host again chambered his colleague after a debate around a video of Emmanuel Macron and a crying caregiver. Indeed, Benjamin Castaldi is one of the few not to have given his point of view on the question. “Thanks to Benjamin Castaldi for attending this sequence“, quipped Cyril Hanouna. A spade that made the set laugh.
