A rare picture! Wax dress and maracas, Kate Middleton’s dance in Belize is all the rage
The British are not used to seeing them that way. While Kate Middleton and Prince William are on the move in Belize, the Duchess of Cambridge did not hesitate to take a dance step with children and play music with maracas.
This is the first official visit organized to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. This Saturday, March 19, Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Belize, a country that still belongs to the Commonwealth. An arrival eagerly awaited by local authorities, as evidenced by the 21 cannon shots fired upon the arrival of the Duke and Duchess at the airport in Belize City, the capital: “They received a 21-gun salute quite different from what they are used to – with three miniature guns on small white tables fired with strings by men in uniform”reported the DailyMail.
If on the descent of the plane, Kate Middleton appeared in a very formal outfit, the next day, the couple appeared with less strict clothes. If Prince William chose a blue shirt and pants, his wife was dressed in a blue wax dress with patterns and a square collar. But what surprised the British the most was to see Kate Middleton having fun as a child, during his visit to a cultural center of the Garifuna community, in a village in the east of the country. And for good reason, on many shots, we can see Kate Middleton wiggles to the traditional village dance.

Maracas in hand, she is even on the cover of DailyMail. The mother of three children is not the only one to have lent herself to the game since Prince William also danced alongside the children of the cultural center. Clichés that we are not used to seeing. But for this time, Kate Middleton and Prince William wanted to do otherwise and thus distinguished themselves by their spontaneity and their joie de vivre. Much less formal visits which were appreciated by the inhabitants of Belize, happy to see members of the royal family join them, time for a dance.
