After giving us her story and her splashart, Riot Games finally reveals the spells of Bel’Veth, the Empress of Nothingness. The 160th League of Legends champion destined for the jungle should arrive on the PBE for the next cycle, on 12.11, so tomorrow, just after the implementation of patch 12.10 – the mid-season patch which aims to increase the champion durability — on live servers.
Bel’Veth Abilities
Dashes, do you want some here?
We’re not going to panic right away since we don’t yet know the ratio of Bel’Veth’s different spells, but, if she looks very fun to play, we’re still a little scared (as with every new personally you tell me).
His Q – Void Charge allows him to dash in four directions and W – Stinging Projection allows him to reduce the cooldown of this spell. Of course, we don’t yet know what the skill’s cooldowns are, but if it’s on the low side, there’s cause for concern. What’s more, his R – Infinite Banquet grants his Q the ability to walk through walls — a very useful buff for a jungler — whether it’s initiating ganks or even running away.
Several mechanics promise to be interesting. If Bel’Veth doesn’t gain attack speed by leveling up, she does stack attack speed by defeating a large monster or champion. In addition, the Empress will not have an attack speed limit, which could make her monstrous in the late game, especially thanks to her ultimate. His R – Infinite Banquet grants him bonus attack speed (and a generalized offensive buff). The mechanics around the corals are very interesting since the champion will have to manage her stock by alternating gank and jungle clear.
It will also be noted that the passive of the ultimate gives him additional raw damage (cumulative to infinity), and that we admit, it’s also very scary. It remains to know its overall statistics but also the ratio of its spells – but for the moment we have the impression that either it will be too strong or null, and that balancing it may be a problem for Riot Games. The case of Akshan will be painfully remembered. While his spell kit was scary on paper before he came to League of Legends, he literally pedaled through semolina. He was pedaling so hard that he had two buffs in less than a week.
