BERLIN (Reuters) – Member countries of the World Health Organization (WHO) have re-elected its Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus for a second term, German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach announced on Twitter on Tuesday.
The 57-year-old former foreign minister of Ethiopia has been at the head of the WHO since July 1, 2017 and has had to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in particular.
