Presented in 2020 during the Game Awards, Tchia is back to unveil its brand new, very colorful trailer via the Summer Game Fest. It’s the Bordeaux studio Aweceb who is at the helm of this ambitious and cute project taking us on a journey through the landscapes of New Caledonia.
When will Tchia be released?
First planned for spring 2022 on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4 and PS5, Tchia has finally been postponed to early 2023. No precise release date has yet been communicated, but the developers need a little more time to refine the colorful open world of the French-speaking title. You can of course subscribe to the newsletter on the official site or follow them on their various social networks so as not to miss any information. You can also put it in your wishlist on the Epic Games Store if you are afraid of missing the release of Tchia.
“The world of Tchia was inspired by New Caledonia, a small island in the Pacific Ocean, home of the co-founders of Awaceb. The landscapes, cultures, music, languages, folklores and local traditions, rich and varied, served as inspiration to create a fictional world and tell a universal story that everyone can understand and enjoy. The characters are performed by local talent in traditional languages, and subtitled in many languages, including English. English, French, Russian, Chinese, German, etc.”
What to do in Tchia?
Side gameplayTchia offers a tropical sandbox open world adventure inspired by New Caledonia where you can take control of any animal or object. You can climb, slide, swim or sail with a boat to explore every corner of the archipelago.
