Warcraft III Reforged healing is well on its way

It’s been a year since Blizzard Entertainment promised a new life for Warcraft III Reforged. Among the many pledges to be honoured: multiplayer with Ranked Games but also scripted campaign customization. Features yet present in the original game, and that modders have recreated for a long time, but which were sorely lacking in the official version of this remake missed.

Baptized 1.33.0, already tested in public beta, the next update of the game partly meets the expectations of the fans. Players will now be able to choose between ranked and unranked games, the matchmaking rank (MMR) will be unique for each race (including Random), and the Ranks will be divided into 8 categories (in VO for now): Unranked, Combatant, Challenger, Rival, Duelist, Elite, Gladiator , Champion. In addition to that, a Seasons system will be implemented. Each season will be an opportunity to put many patches online, but also to reset the ladder. Let’s not forget a Leaderboards section, and the presence of Profiles, which will notably allow access to a detailed follow-up of our progress and the ladder. Some maps of the single-player campaign will also be reworked and rebalanced.

It still lacks a lot of the promised features, but Blizzard is committed to multiplying updates in 2022. We remind you that Blizzard Entertainment, following numerous internal redesigns (the absorption of Vicarious Visions in January 2021) is working in parallel with the rescue of Warcraft III Reforgedfollowed by Diablo II Resurrected and the future release of Diablo IV, which we also saw at the last Xbox & Bethesda Showcase.
