Miss France 2010 Malika Ménard spoke to Closer about her vacation and especially about a memory of a camp that went very badly.
Complicated first experience. On the occasion of the summer holidays, the one who was crowned Miss France in 2010 confided in Closer to come back to the way she envisages her holidays but also to a particularly memorable experience. When she was little, it was more like a family vacation for Malika Ménard who explains: “My mother raised my brother and me alone, and as she worked a lot, she dropped us off at our grandparents’ in Guidel in Morbihan”. I have to say that summer camps were much less friendly for her since her very first experience, when she was only 12 years old, turned tragic and left her with scars that she still bears today.
“My first camp experience at 12 was dramatic. It was in Houlgate, in Normandy and the boys made fun of me quite a bit, including one who had fun stealing my shoes” she began to explain. Only what was originally a children’s game quickly degenerated. “I chased him to his room. I tapped on the bay window for it to open for me, but it shattered. As a result, the median nerve in my right hand was severed and since then I have had no feeling in that hand.“. Enough to leave a unique memory of this first colo… Fortunately Ihe next holiday went better and during her interview with Closer, Malika Ménard also returned to much more pleasant experiences.
Summer detox for Malika Ménard
The former Miss Normandy indeed had the pleasure of discover the Greek islands thanks to an Athenian who showed him around the area during his trip to the island of Samos in 2016 for the wedding of his childhood friend. “The day of the ceremony, I discovered the groom’s best man, a Greek from Athens. My summer was transformed thanks to him! He made me discover the country like no one could have done”. And this summer, what is the program? Many visits to Nîmes “to enjoy the last moments of my dad, who is severely affected by Charcot’s disease“and a possible”phone detox” for the one who, at the start of the school year, will work on the podcast adaptation of his book Fuck the complexes.
