Moto X30 Pro: New camera flagship breaks record – and is surprisingly cheap


With the Moto X30 Pro, Lenovo has presented a new flagship that is striking in several ways. In addition to a top processor, the manufacturer has not skimped on the cameras in particular. The strong display and the charging capability are also positive – as is the amazing price.

Moto X30 Pro unveiled with 200MP camera

The Moto X30 Pro is the first smartphone ever to use Samsung’s Isocell HP1 as an image sensor. So are Photos up to 200MP possible, although these are reduced to 12.5 MP by default using pixel binning. For videos, 8K resolution is possible if 30 frames per second is sufficient. The other cameras of the Moto X30 Pro manage 50 MP (ultra wide angle) and 12 MP (telephoto). Selfies are possible with 60 MP.

In addition to a record-breaking camera, the OLED display, which is strongly rounded on the sides, is also impressive. It comes in at 6.67 inches diagonally and creates a 144Hz refresh rate. A peak brightness of 1,250 nits should be achieved.

As a processor is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 included, depending on the model there is 8 or 12 GB of RAM as well as 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage space. Android 12 with MyUI 4.0 is preinstalled on the Moto X30 Pro. The phone weighs 198.5 grams and measures 161.7 × 73.5 × 8.39 mm.

The battery has a capacity of 4,610 mAh and can be wired Charge quickly with 125 watts. Seven minutes should be enough to bring an empty battery to a level of 50 percent. 50 watts are possible wirelessly, with reverse charging 10 watts are transmitted.

Moto X30 Pro from 500 euros in China

In the home market, the Moto X30 Pro will be available in black and white finishes the equivalent of around 500 euros offered (source: Lenovo). Depending on the equipment, the price goes up to 645 euros. It remains unclear whether the smartphone will also be offered outside of China.
