Renault Group sets targets to accelerate its energy efficiency
PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The Renault automotive group announced Thursday its intention to accelerate its energy efficiency approach and indicated that it is aiming for a 14% reduction in its energy consumption at its sites in France in 2023, including 17 % on gas.
“In terms of energy consumption per vehicle produced, the objective is to achieve a 40% reduction by 2025 compared to 2021,” the manufacturer said in a press release, which aims to reduce its overall consumption by 12 % at the end of 2022.
“Renault Group has reduced the energy consumption of industrial and tertiary sites in France by nearly 10% between 2021 and the first half of 2022”, underlined the industrialist.
To accelerate this urgent transformation, Renault Group set up a “Task Force Energy Crisis” in July, one of the priorities of which is to reduce consumption per vehicle produced.
