“Woodstock”, who can no longer move his hind legs after an accident, disappeared without a trace from the garden in Lower Austria. After a major search, the owners are certain: he was kidnapped!
The English Setter mix “Woodstock” has seen a lot at the age of five. He was found in Slovakia three years ago with fractured vertebrae. Although his life was saved, he has not been able to move his hind legs since then. The dog came to Austria through an animal welfare organization before finding a new home with Marco Poiß (25) in a settlement in Sollenau in the Wiener Neustadt district. There he lived a happy dog’s life with the help of a special wheelchair. “Suddenly he was gone” until he disappeared from the garden without a trace. “He was only out for five minutes. Suddenly he was gone,” says Poiß. A large search operation was launched, in which the search dog squadron “Spürnasen” also took part. Because the dogs had lost track at a nearby parking lot, it was clear to everyone: “Woody” must have been kidnapped.Dirty and trembling For hours, the fate of the mongrel was uncertain before he was found on the edge of a forest. “He was dirty and was shaking all over,” says his master. He assumes that the unknown kidnapper got cold feet. “We are glad that ‘Woodstock’ is back. But of course it’s very uncomfortable that we don’t know who took him,” said Poiss. He has filed a complaint and the police are investigating.
