As an all-issues party, the SP also distinguishes itself from the Greens.
When the SP began its election campaign this Saturday, David Roth, the former president of the Young Socialists, entered the stage at some point. He sketched a day in his life: He gets up at 6.30 a.m. without fear, “because it’s safe in Switzerland”; the room is heated, less than it used to be, but it didn’t freeze during the night; the light goes on, also because his Federal Councilor Simonetta Sommaruga is looking after it; he takes the train and then the tram to work in Bern, the post arrived on time, so he can get started; when he is thirsty, he drinks clean water – and before the day comes to an end and he turns off the light again, he hears the “echo of time”.
