Lhe Minister of Ecological Transition, Christophe Béchu, wants to display a “exemplary” in energy sobriety. His idea ? Equip the Roquelaure hotel, headquarters of his ministry, of an autonomous heating system thanks to geothermal energy: wells dug under the building will collect the earth’s heat, which will then be stored and distributed via a process controlled by artificial intelligence. The operation promises to be delicate because the building, which dates from 1724 and which has kept the name of a marshal of Louis XIII, is classified as a historical monument. A call for tenders must be launched at the end of the month to select the competent company. Beyond the symbol, the public building renovation project is huge: 400 million square meters!
