Buckingham Palace has revealed the first details of Charles III’s coronation, which is scheduled for May 2023. Here’s everything you need to know about the royal event of the year.

Date and program: when and how does the coronation of Charles III take place?
The kick-off is given on May 6, 2023. The festivities will take place over three days. On the first day, the King and Queen consort will travel to Westminster Abbey from Buckingham. The ceremony will be led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, the spiritual leader of the Anglican Church. Once “The King’s Procession” finished, they will return to the palace. There, they will take their place on the mythical balcony in the company of active family members to greet the crowd.
May 7, 2023 will be more festive than the day before. At Windsor Castle, west London, the King and Queen consort will surround themselves “international music icons and contemporary stars” for a concert that is meant to be magical. The show will also be transcribed on the BBC.. For the time being, the names of the invited artists have not been communicated, but we know that they will also be supported by volunteers from charities supported by Charles and Camilla.
