A 10-year-old girl stabbed her father as he assaulted her mother

A grown man was stabbed in the leg. This 27-year-old man would have been stabbed by a 10 year old girl. The child would have intervened while he was physically assaulting his mother. The injured man was taken to hospital and “His health is good”, the statement said. Investigators have evacuated the scene and the follow-up investigation is continuing. The sheriff added that it wasa “awful situation” for a 10 year old girl who witnessed this scene.

The man was already facing a charge

“Children who witness abuse of their mother, father or other family members see their lives impacted”, insisted on specifying the sheriff. According to a complaint filed in Harris County Criminal Court, the 27-year-old suspect was already facing a charge of misdemeanor assault on a family member, according to NBC News. Quoting a spokesperson for the Harris County Sheriff, this outlet reported that the suspect was the girl’s father and the victim’s husband. This Thursday, August 31, a protective order was filed to prevent the suspect from contacting the victim. It is not known whether the child or the mother were injured during the attack.
