A 3-week-old baby at the heart of a rivalry between sisters that turns into a tragic settling of accounts


On Wednesday, November 9, Yarelly Solorio-Rivera was arrested by American police. The woman is suspected of killing her 18-year-old sister and her three-week-old baby, with the help of her boyfriend.

Yanelly Solorio-Rivera was an 18 year old young woman living in Fresno, California. She was shot on Saturday September 24 with his daughter Celine, only 21 days old. That day, Fresno police were called around 7 a.m. to gunshots, as reported FoxNews.

Once on the scene, the agents had discovered the young woman and her daughter in the arms. They were lying on his bed and had been shot several times, presumably while they were sleeping. According to the police chief, Balderrama, Yanelly Solorio-Rivera and CĂ©line were killed in a murder “premeditated and carefully planned“.

The sister of the victim arrested with her companion

Several weeks after the terrible tragedy, the victim’s sister and her companion were arrested by the police. On Thursday, November 10, a day after their arrest, the police chief said: “We have the murder weapon, a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, and we have a motive – jealousy and sibling rivalry. We saw no remorse, no guilt“.

Yarelly Solorio-Rivera was the older sister of Yanelly Solorio-Rivera. She would have committed the murder with her companion, Martin Arroyo-Morales. The latter, aged 26, was known for be part of a gang and had been recognized on a surveillance camera. “That’s when the lies, deception and bad intentions surrounding this case started to come to light.” Chief Balderrama revealed. Currently, the two suspects are incarcerated in the county jail of Fresno. They risk death penalty or life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
