a 5th coach joins the jury, and viewers are already loving it!

Season 8 of The Voice Kids is particularly rich in emotions from the beginning. Indeed, Louane who is one of the new coaches with Julien Doré burst into tears in front of a performance and we could see her rushing to comfort a candidate. Patrick Fiori, meanwhile, drew the wrath of viewers and Nikos Aliagas was particularly moved by a candidate who reminded him of Gregory Lemarchal.

But, the season is coming to an end and Saturday, October 8 will take place the final which will designate the big winner who will succeed Rébecca Sayaque. Among the last candidates in the running, Arthur, Sacha, Sara, Aivan, Loghane, Sanaa, Romane and Raynau. But, like the previous year. TF1 has reserved a surprise for this last bonus: a fifth coach will join the other members of the jury and it is… Gims! The production has designated him “supercoach” and he, too, will be seated in a red armchair to give his opinion on the performances in addition to singing on stage with each talent.

Why Gims is not a regular coach of The Voice?

The production of The Voice had already offered the singer to be part of the regular coaches, but the latter had refused the proposal for lack of time. Indeed, his name had already circulated and he was on the verge of joining Mika, Zazie and Florent Pagny in 2018. But, he had finally left his place to Pascal Obispo and had explained to Télé Star: “I realised that it was going to take a long time in my schedule and that I couldn’t”.

Indeed, for several years, the interpreter of “Bella” is on all fronts. He chained the feets with certain singers like Naps, he resumed a tour with his former group Sexion d’Assault alongside Black M, Lefa, Doomams, JR O Crom, Barack Adama and Maska and he just released a brand new single “Now”… But maybe the rapper will change his mind after taking part in the issue of this October 8?
