A magnitude 6.9 earthquake occurred on Friday (November 18th) off the western coast of Indonesia, announced the United States Institute of Geological Studies (USGS).
The tremor occurred shortly after 8:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. Paris time) at a shallow depth some 212 kilometers southwest of the city of Bengkulu, the USGS said.
