On the spot, the gendarmes of Villefranche-de-Lauragais began their research to try to identify the parents. Thanks to the traces of blood found on the way, they went back to a house where the mother was. It was a 17-year-old girl who claimed to have done denial of pregnancy and gave birth at home.
