In addition to the first Xbox Game Pass games from January 2024, Microsoft is offering a new benefit to some of its subscribers. But you don’t have to wait to get it!
For the moment, the January 2024 Xbox Game Pass does not disappoint. For the past few hours, subscribers have been able to try out the narrative horror game Close to the Sun and Hell Let Loose. An FPS that plunges players into the hell of the Second World War for very large-scale battles of up to 100 players. At the same time, and as always, it is also possible to download specific content for a game for free. This time, it concerns a Microsoft exclusive which had difficulty getting started, but which has now found its cruising speed.
The January 2024 Xbox Game Pass Free Benefit
Hear, Hear, Mousaillons! Do you know Sea of Thieves? This is the pirate game from Rare (Donkey Kong, Banjo-Kazooie…) which was released in 2018 on Xbox One and PC. A Microsoft exclusive which was full of potential, but which disappointed with its lack of content and its concept which was still too limited at launch. Since the game has been forgiven with a large number of updates, season 10 began at the end of 2023 and the title still lends itself well to a service such as Xbox Game Pass. If you have a current subscription, and are still playing Sea of Thieves, there is a free perk available right now.
All Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can download the “Nightshine Parrot Pack” which includes gold coins, a jacket, a hat… “This pack contains the Nightshine Parrot Jacket, Nightshine Parrot Veils, Nightshine Parrot Figurehead, Nightshine Parrot Hat, and Nightshine Parrot Cutlass, as well as 10,000 gold coins for spend in the game ». This bundle with cosmetics and money is valid until January 28, 2024 via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
A Sea of Thieves gift and free playable games
In case you want to go further, know that a new “Calm Seas” mode has been added to Sea of Thieves. It allows you to navigate the water alone or with three friends… without meeting online opponents who would like to attack you. “Although some features are unavailable in Calm Seas and the progression rate is limited to balance the game, this mode is an ideal way for new pirates who want to learn the basics, for story buffs who want to enjoy the fables uninterrupted buccaneering, or for a crew who wishes to explore the world and face its natural dangers” (via the official Sea of Thieves website).
