a big new thing has leaked, it will please

Surprise, a big new PlayStation release has leaked and it should please millions of players. A popular feature has big ambitions.

The PlayStation ecosystem is constantly evolving. Whether through updates on PS5 or PC ports, the company has evolved significantly for several years. And a new project has visibly leaked on the web.

PlayStation consoles could lose exclusivity

In life, there are two schools: those who finish the games and move on, and those who are looking for more, the reward: Platinum. Trophies that are an integral part of the PlayStation experience for many players who don’t plan to consume their leisure in any other way. Since the introduction of this feature on PS3, it’s been a hit and millions of users are playing the game. But there could be even more if Sony decides to port its trophy system to PC. A project that seems to be in the works.

According to TrueTrophies, which allows hunters to keep track of their favorite activity, PlayStation trophies are on the way to PC. The site allegedly got its hands on a mysterious list titled “PSPC”. Presumably this is completely independent of the PS5, although a connection or rather sharing between the two seems to suggest. A sign of future compatibility for TrueTrophies. At the time of writing, PlayStation has not officially announced anything on the subject.

The Japanese manufacturer, however, has great ambitions for the PC market, and for some time now, has been releasing ports of its most popular exclusives. Horizon Forbbiden West from Guerrilla Games will also be the next game to land on PC. It will be at the beginning of 2024 with a “Complete Edition” which will contain the base game, the Burning Shores expansion, and all the updates deployed. A release on PlayStation 5 is already taking place at the beginning of the month and the compilation is currently available for €69.99.

PS5 and PS4 trophies on PC?

If TrueTrophies is to be believed, PlayStation could export its trophy system to PC for available PS5 and PS4 games such as The Last of Us Part 1, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Returnal. A novelty which would prove more than ever Sony Interactive Entertainment’s commitment to this platform. At the moment, the only interaction between PC and consoles is support for PSN accounts. Some games allow you to connect to your existing profile to “track your progress and access bonus content”.

To connect to PSN to play a PlayStation game on PC, here are the steps to follow according to the official website:
