The first post-launch update for Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut on PC is now available, bringing stability improvements and fixes to certain features. Particularly in terms of gaining optimization, even if you don’t have a war machine at home. It’s always pleasant, you have to admit.

Ghost of Tsushima is getting better

This update, identified by the number 1053.0.0522.1042, focuses on improving the stability of the game. In particular, it fixes visual bugs that appeared when switching from cutscenes to gameplay with DLSS 3 Frame Generation enabled. Additionally, visual issues occurring when using AMD FSR 3 upscaling in combination with dynamic resolution have also been resolved.

Despite some stability issues faced by users, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut managed to become the most successful PlayStation launch on Steam. The game set a new concurrent player record for Sony’s single-player games on the platform, surpassing the previous record held by God of War. This success, accompanied by the good performance of Helldivers II, shows that Sony is reaping the rewards of its PC releases and could encourage the company to release its PlayStation exclusives more quickly on this platform. Nixxes Studios and Sucker Punch have confirmed that they are already working on future updates to continue to address issues reported by the community and improve stability on different hardware configurations.
