But the one who calls himself Acrobate94 had already made himself known to the public a few months earlier, on June 13, 2020. In the midst of an anti-racist demonstration, the young man of 28 had climbed the facade of a building in the Place de la République in Paris to take down a banner demanding “justice for the victims of anti-white racism”, deployed by the far-right group, Génération Identitaire. A feat that earned him the nickname "Republic Spiderman" on social media, where it is now followed by nearly 4 million Internet users.

One month after its passage in Ninja warrior, the candidate is talked about for a completely different reason: he is now being sued. According to information from Parisian, Acrobate94 was arrested Thursday, February 4, 2021 by the Haÿ-les-Roses police officers, before being taken into police custody. He was then referred to the court of Créteil the next day. According to a source close to the investigation, a complaint was filed against him by his partner.

The young man is like that prosecuted for “spousal rape, death threats and violence resulting in total incapacity for work (ITT) for more than ten days”. In mid-January, he allegedly imposed fellatio on his partner in a car parked in Chevilly-Larue, the city where the Youtubeur is from. Acrobate94 is also suspected of “Repeated violence without ITT” on the 28-year-old young woman, who had already lodged a complaint in 2019. The Créteil prosecutor's office could request that she be placed in pre-trial detention after the opening of a judicial investigation.
