Assassin’s Creed returns once again in a game in a new form. It will allow you to focus on a story to shape as you see fit.
For those who have already completed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, there will soon be new content to get their teeth into! Indeed, an Assassin’s Creed role-playing game is about to arrive in France thanks to Arkhane Asylum Publishing, to which we also owe the board games of Fallout, Cyberpunk 2077 and Avatar Legends. Pre-orders are possible until March 2024 on the site. It is aimed at all audiences, no need to have done dozens of D&D campaigns to appreciate this new release. In addition to that, it adapts to all budgets with three different boxes at €35, €100 and €160 (special prices).
A surprising new Assassin’s Creed game
The Assassin’s Creed role-playing game aims to be super accessible. In the €35 offer, there is the Animus manual, in other words everything you need to start playing. In this work, we obviously find the rules of the game, but also rich explanations of the lore and the storyline in which this RPG takes place. Each scenario can be completed in a single session, no longer needing to plan multiple weekends to complete a campaign. In addition, the Mach System, a set of original rules, allows you to understand the tricks very quickly. It is based on 2 sets of 6 dice unique to Assassin’s Creed. Although everything is simplified, this does not prevent players from using their imagination, it is even largely encouraged, and this, by an adapted narration.
In this new Assassin’s Creed role-playing game, players take on the role of Descendants, modern-day heirs of former Brotherhood assassins. Thanks to Animus technology, roleplayers will be able to unlock different memories of their ancestors. As a result, they will be able to discover parts of history that they can explore or not as they wish. These narrative arcs, divided into historical segments, allow you to immerse yourself in different themes and eras while constructing your own epic. The Descendants still have an overall objective: to win the secret war against the Templars. They will do everything in their power to preserve the free will of humanity.
Something to please the fans
The slightly more expensive formats, the Master Assassin at €100 (instead of €165) and the Legendary Assassin at €160 (instead of €245), allow Assassin’s Creed fans to really enjoy themselves. In the first, we also find a campaign book called “Shaping History”, for additional scenarios, but also a collection called “The Legacy of the Brotherhood” which contains a lot of biographical information on different protagonists of the saga. In the second, we also find a whole pack of accessories ranging from the dice set to the figurines and the collector’s case!
Note that the more the game is funded, the more bonuses you will get. The leveling system allows you to collect some goodies and other additional gifts. At the time of writing, 30 color character sheets will be offered to all buyers.
