Bullet Train director David Leitch is working on a remake of The Gun. Emily Blunt will star in the film.

Emily Blunt (39) was reportedly cast in the new film by “Bullet Train” director David Leitch (46). She will apparently be seen alongside Ryan Gosling (41) in “The Fall Guy”. That reports “Deadline”. Described as a ‘stuntman action drama’, the film is based on the ’80s series ‘Just In Case’.

“Just In Case” was created by Glen A. Larson (1937-2014), who also created “Battlestar Galactica” and “Magnum”. Lee Majors (83) played the leading role of a stuntman who wants to earn some extra money with a part-time job as a bounty hunter. At his side were Douglas Barr (73) and Heather Thomas (64). The series aired on ABC from 1981 to 1986. In Germany, the show first ran in 1983 on ZDF.

Filming begins in the fall

The Fall Guy script is being written by Drew Pearce, 46, who worked with Leitch on Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. Production on the film is slated to begin this fall in Australia. The tentative start date in cinemas is March 1, 2024.
