“Well, I’m not the kind to kiss-and-tell / But I’ve been seen with Farrah”. The melody to “The Unknow Stuntman” is still very present in children of the 80s. The unknown stuntman puts his life in danger in order to take on the dangerous shots on the set for well-known actors without becoming famous for it himself.

Did you know that Colt actor Lee Majors sang the title track himself? In Germany, the song was in the charts for around 13 weeks and even reached 11th place.

Why does Lee Majors mention actress Farrah Fawcett in the title track?

Lee Majors had a brief marriage to actress Farrah Fawcett, who went on to become a star, in the ’70s. The two appeared in the TV series Charlie’s Angels, in which Fawcett starred.

Who came up with the idea for the series?

The idea for the series came to producer Glen A. Larson when he met a stuntman at a party who told him about his exciting life. So Larson decided to make an unknown stuntman the main character of a series.

Producer becomes composer

Glen A. Larson produced some of the most well-known television series of the 70’s and 80’s, including “Magnum PI”, “Knight Rider”, “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” and “The Gun Just in Case”. In total, he has produced and written more than 20 television series.

He was also active as a composer. In addition to “A Colt for all cases” he was responsible for the theme song of “Battlestar Galactica”. He was even nominated for a Grammy for it.

The intro to “A Colt for All Cases” shows excerpts from a total of six films. This is to suggest to viewers that Colt did the stunts in these films.

There are: the jump from the roof of the train from “Trans-America-Express”, the man hanging on the skids of a helicopter from “On the Tracks of the Eagle”, the jump in which two men flee into a river is from the Western classic “Two Bandits”.

Actor Lee Majors is said to have done many of the series’ spectacular car chases and daring stunts himself.

The remake of “The Fall Guy” will be brought to the big screen by director David Leitch. Leitch is one of the creators behind the martial arts film John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves. He is considered one of Hollywood’s most experienced action directors and was a former stuntman himself.

Leitch told the press that The Fall Guy made him want to be a stuntman.

In the new film, Gosling plays a stuntman who has broken his back and retired. Blunt plays his ex who is directing a movie – a space opera like Star Wars. The main character disappears and she needs Gosling to take his place.

Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie Hsu, Teresa Palmer, Winston Duke and Adam Dunn also star in the film.
