Amazon Prime Video has finally given a release date and shared an image for an original summer production. A series based on a film which was attacked by certain associations in France.
The Prime Video platform, like Netflix and Disney+, mixes the back catalog of films and series, while providing its original creations in these two areas. Exclusive documentaries or reality TV shows are also being created. The interest behind all this is to differentiate itself as much as possible from the host of video streaming services available in France and around the world. This summer, Amazon should stand out by agreeing to bring back a program that wasn’t really to everyone’s taste.
A shocking series in the new Prime Video releases for July 2024
How will the Amazon Prime Video service go about creating an event this summer? The American giant has several strings to its bow. And one of the biggest summer blockbusters of 2024 will be The Boys season 4, the broadcast of which is set for June 13, 2024. But the month after, in July, the platform has a television show which could trigger a crisis of hives to some. The animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia arrives July 11, 2024 on Prime Video. If the name speaks to you, it’s completely normal since there was a Sausage Party film in 2016 produced by Seth Rogen. The actor who fully invested himself in the latest Ninja Turtles animated feature film, Ninja Turtles Teenage Years.
The film Sausage Party reveals the hidden life of supermarket foods by treating them as real beings capable of maintaining carnal relations. With a below-the-belt approach and a caustic humor that had robbed certain fundamentalist Catholic associations in France. They proclaimed loud and clear that it was a pornographic feature film aimed at perverting young people. A whole fairly reactionary program which ended up in court. The associations in question came together to try to change the classification of the film from “Prohibited to children under 12” to “Prohibited to children under 16”. If they had won their case, it would have limited the reach of Sausage Party. But ultimately, the court ruled against them.
Sausage Party: The Privacy of Food was a smash hit and even the highest-grossing R-Rated animated film ever released. It is currently available on Prime Video, but only for purchase or rental.
The Sausage Party Foodtopia series wants to go even further
Will Seth Rogen and the production of Sausage Party Foodtopia be restricted by Prime Video? That’s not the idea and the series should even be more shocking than the original film.

The Sausage Party Foodtopia series will be visible in one go on Prime Video from July 11, 2024 in France and abroad. The cast will once again consist of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, Edward Norton and David Krumholtz.
