WhileAssassin’s Creed Shadows has been postponed to February 2025, journalist Tom Henderson continues to reveal information on the development of the title. Indeed, in his article published on Insider Gaming, he explains that a cooperative mode would be in development for Ubisoft’s game.
According to its sources, this new cooperative game mode is currently under development and does not currently have a defined release date. Particularly due to the postponement of the game. Henderson specifies, however, that the mode, called LEAGUE internally, is not an addition linked to the delay ofAssassin’s Creed Shadows. And that it was already in development well before the postponement was announced.
Of course no LEAGUE details have been shared. But we can however assume that the mode will allow you to see Naoe and Yasuke fighting side by side. An interesting promise of combat since the two heroes could combine their very different combat abilities.
Ubisoft therefore seems to be greatly interested in the multiplayer experience for its next titles. Let us recall that in 2022, Marc-Alexis Coté had mentioned Assassin’s Creed Invictus as a multiplayer-focused entry in the series. The title is also planned for 2025.
For his part, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now expected for February 14, 2025 and will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
