A couple of students make a “suicide pact” that turns into feminicide

In the United States, a student warned his university that he and his girlfriend had planned to make “a suicide pact in order to relieve themselves of their suffering”. A real tragedy of which he alone survived.

There are stories like this that we would like not to tell. A Chinese student from the University of Utah, in the United States, decided to send a letter to his school to explain why he and his girlfriend would no longer go to school. In this email, the latter explains that the two young people would have made “a suicide pact”so they intended to kill each other.

This 26-year-old announced that he had bought drugs on the dark web in order to inject them into his girlfriend “to relieve her of her suffering”, before committing suicide. Obviously immediately alerted by the University, the Salt Lake City police found the couple in a room of a hotel in the city. After the door was opened, law enforcement found the lifeless body of the 19-year-old student, also of Chinese descent. However, his companion was very much alive. Contrary to the plans he had announced.

For the moment, the investigation is stalling on the true intentions of the student

Logically arrested, the young man was taken into custody. A question arises : Did he really try to commit suicide after ending his partner’s life or was it ultimately a crime of passion? For the moment, the investigation is stalling. Be that as it may, the student is now being prosecuted for a “domestic violence homicide”.The local press notes that he had already been accused of domestic violence at the beginning of 2022. Informed, the university wanted to publish a press release: “The death of any young person entering adulthood is devastating. And, sadly, domestic violence is more prevalent than many of us realize, even among college students.”
