A couple living in the town of Gien, in Loiret, was indicted and then imprisoned on Monday February 21 after the death of their little girl. Suffering from multiple disabilities, she would have been deprived of care. She was 7 years old.
The tragedy occurred on the evening of Wednesday, February 16. The gendarmes were called for the death of the little girl. On site: the mother of the child, 27 years old, and her stepfather, 31 years old.
By questioning them about the circumstances of the girl’s death, many inconsistencies were noted by the police. A food would have passed abnormally by its respiratory tract, they declare, but a doctor of the SMUR, present on the spot, also doubts this version and is opposed to the burial.
Investigation for deprivation of care
As France Bleu reports, the victim was a very premature child suffering from many disabilities since birth.
Initially led by the gendarmerie of Gien, the investigation for deprivation of care was then entrusted to the criminal center of Orleans. The couple was indicted and imprisoned on Monday, February 21.
